Comprising six city blocks, Buckhead Atlanta totals 1.5 million square feet including 300,000 square feet of retail space comprised of restaurants, boutiques, cafes, and entertainment venues. Working with over 100,000 square feet of custom office space, 370 luxury residential apartments in two high-rise towers and 2,400 parking spaces, the Buckhead Atlanta project has become one of the largest urban construction redevelopments Atlanta has ever seen.
Balfour Beatty Construction contracted with Sinclair Construction for the turnkey construction of the concrete foundations for what was once known as The Streets of Buckhead. Situated within Atlanta’s posh Buckhead neighborhood at the intersection of Peachtree and East Paces Ferry Roads, more than 50,000 vehicles pass the development every single day.
The project was divided into parcels and the total duration of all parcels for our concrete scope was about (1) year. In that time Sinclair was awarded Contractor of the Month which recognized proper work planning and the execution of that work plan safely and successfully. Sinclair Construction performed construction of the pile caps, shallow foundations, cast-in-place walls, slabs on grade, place/finish of elevated slabs, underground water detention and electrical power vaults and misc. site work.
