Atlanta, Ga. (October 17, 2018) – Sinclair Construction Group has announced the launch of MEGASLAB™ Jointless Concrete System. The patent-pending formula in MEGASLAB features ground-breaking technology paired with powerful admixtures that create an incredibly dense and impermeable slab, eliminating the need for installing control joints and their associated costs.

 

Because control joints lead to costly challenges like curling and spalling, slabs with control joints require more maintenance and upkeep, often leading to ongoing equipment repair, and reduced productivity. Traditional concrete slabs that include rebar and control joints also greatly limit the ability to develop and place the most optimized racking and robotic schematics. MEGASLAB is a complete concrete system that utilizes sophisticated nanotechnology paired with a proprietary blend of durable and flexible admixtures. The result is an impermeable jointless slab with exceptional tensile strength and durability for the heaviest loads and equipment.

Sinclair Awarded Excellence in Construction

Sinclair Construction was honored to receive the ABC of Georgia 2016 Excellence in Construction Award for Stealth.  The EIC competition showcases the most outstanding projects built by ABC members.   Stealth was nothing short of outstanding and the collaboration of all the parties involved proved to be a vital part of its success.  We extend our greatest appreciation to the members of Stealth: Formations Studio, Cousins Properties, Uzun + Case, Thomas Concrete and Cherokee Pumping.  Without their dedication and enthusiasm Stealth would have not had the success and recognition it has received thus far.

Sinclair Construction Group also received a Merit award for The Delta Sky Club project, which sits high atop Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.  The complexity and obvious challenges of working right in the middle of Delta Airlines busiest concourse in the world proved to be quite the accomplishment in itself.

Sinclair’s dedication to Safety and Awareness has also earned a Diamond STEP award as well as the Georgia Safety Award of Excellence, which is based on lost time and DART rates.  The 2016 Excellence in Construction (EIC) awards competition took place at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, press release can be found here 2016-EIC-NewsRelease.

Sinclair Construction Awarded For Decorative Concrete from the ASCC

For the second year in a row Sinclair Construction has been awarded for achievements in Decorative Concrete Construction. The Stealth Sculpture has been a truly rewarding project to be apart of.  The dedication and execution of all the various components of this “never been done before” project were crucial in its’ success.  All names of those who had a hand in the creation of this astonishing masterpiece are engraved in the base of the sculpture.  In addition to forever having their name apart of this unique feature, Sinclair is honored to be awarded and receive First Place for the 2016 Concrete Artistry Award for projects under 5,000sf.  Sinclair will be accepting this award at World of Concrete in Las Vegas Nevada.

Sinclair Construction Group partners on concrete masterpiece

ABC of Georgia member Sinclair Construction Group has partnered with fellow ABC members C&C Fence, Sunbelt Rentals and Thomas Concrete, among others, to create a “concrete masterpiece” called Stealth. The project is the brain-child of Georgia Tech architectural professor Tristan Al-Haddad, and is being built in front of the Promenade building on Peachtree Street.
